1. Pre-Service Inspection & Quotation
A full inspection of the vehicle will be carried out prior to the service. Existing damage, defects, and areas of concern may be documented, including by photographic evidence.
A final price will be agreed before work begins. No work will proceed without the Customer’s approval.
2. Pre-Existing Condition
Quay Detailing accepts no responsibility for pre-existing damage or defects, including but not limited to scratches, dents, swirl marks, stone chips, worn materials, failing clear coat, degraded trim, or loose components.
The detailing process may expose, highlight, or worsen such conditions where materials are already compromised.
3. Fragile & Aged Materials
Vehicles with aged, worn, repaired, or previously damaged materials (including paint, trim, fabrics, and plastics) carry an increased risk during cleaning and detailing.
By authorising the work, the Customer acknowledges this risk and accepts that such materials may not respond uniformly or safely to treatment.
4. Risk Acknowledgement
Detailing involves physical contact, chemicals, and moisture applied to vehicle surfaces. While all reasonable care and industry-standard practices are used, the Customer accepts that inherent risks exist, particularly on vehicles in poor or neglected condition.
5. Interior & Personal Belongings
The Customer must remove all personal belongings prior to the service.
Quay Detailing accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to items left in the vehicle.
Failure to clear the vehicle may impact results and increase service time. Any additional time required will be charged accordingly.
6. Electrical Components
Quay Detailing is not responsible for faults relating to pre-existing or water-sensitive components, including but not limited to infotainment systems, sensors, switches, wiring, alarms, or battery systems.
Modern vehicles contain sensitive electronics which may fail due to underlying issues when exposed to normal cleaning processes.
7. Stains, Odours & Contamination
Removal of stains, pet hair, odours, mould, or heavy contamination is not guaranteed.
Results depend on the severity, material condition, and duration of contamination.
8. Heavily Soiled Vehicles
Vehicles requiring excessive time due to heavy soiling, pet hair, biohazards, or neglect will incur additional charges.
These will be discussed and agreed where reasonably possible before or during the service.
9. Service Outcomes
Quay Detailing does not guarantee restoration to a “like new” or perfect condition.
Results vary depending on the age, condition, and prior treatment of the vehicle.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due immediately upon completion of the service.
An invoice with a secure payment link will be provided.
Failure to make payment may result in recovery action and any associated costs being passed to the Customer.
11. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to this, Quay Detailing’s total liability for any claim arising from the service shall be limited to the total value of the service provided.
Quay Detailing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of use or loss of value.
12. Insurance
Quay Detailing operates as a fully insured service.
Insurance coverage applies only to damage directly caused by proven negligence during the service and does not extend to pre-existing conditions, underlying defects, or issues arising from the condition of the vehicle.
Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service or allowing work to commence, the Customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.

All services are subject to availability and may be offered exclusively via this website or by direct booking.
